Do this.
The mirror is off right?
Take a section from a bungee net or use similar material. You want a peice about 18" long. With the mirror off the bike, tie one end securely knotted around the mirror signal lense support which is also where the electrical connector for teh signal plugs in.
Run the other end through the hole in the mounting plate. Pull it nice & snug, then wrap it around the internal fairing supprt that holds the guage. Go around once and tie it off, surgical tools or a small needle nose plyers helps a lot here. Then wrap it a couple times more.
Now the mirror will kinda bounce back when you walk into it. Mine stay mostly in place, just loose on the posts. They'll roll over if teh bike tips over.
I also used Honda Moly 60 on the nipples, and the clips cause if they get dry they stick, and well, you know, the nipple and or clip breaks.
I did this on both mirrors. Works well for me. _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

Reminds me of James Bond's fake removable third nipple from "The Man With The Golden Gun".
