I have a '97 K1100LT with the standard windshield. Has anyone tried the Cee Bailey's Euro cut windshield in a + 3 or 4. I would like to stop the helmet blast. I installed 1.25" risers between the windshield and the raising arms and it now keeps bugs off my visor but dosen't do much for the blast. Confused

I have the +4 "U" shaped cut....the thing rocks. Like a barn door when up and enough air not to roast when down.

I've thought about a taller screen but decided not to because when it's all the way down I like where it is at low speeds or on rough roads to see over it. I also worry about the number of expensive moving parts, some of which I had to replace when I bought my bike, that are exposed to the additional stress of a taller screen. Just my thoughts. I know others will chime in with tall screens they like.

The thing about taller screens is that you don't have to raise them very much to get protected. You can still see over it without compromising protection. I have a Parabellum 4+, am 6'2". Lowered all the way the wind hits me at the bridge of my nose. Raise it an inch or two and it shoots it right over me. I NEVER raise it more than that. It got rid of all the buffeting to the back of my helmet which is what I originally was looking for.
When it rains I lower it all the way and the wind stream keeps my helmet visor clear of rain.
I believe a taller screen puts far less pressure on the expensive bits because you never put it all the way up except maybe to wash under it. Very Happy
Look at your stock screen lowered all the way. Then raise it an inch or two and picture it, say longer instead of taller, and look at the angle it's at. Far more aerodynamic, wouldn't you say? Cool
