Obviously the skill and knowledge level of forum users varies widely. Many, like me, are doing maintenance and repair projects almost invariably for the first time. Finding information on past threads is extremely helpful and can keep us theoretically from clogging up the forum with rehashes.
I think one thing that would make new threads more helpful to searchers in the future is if we took care to be sure the subject line is as descriptive as possible and that words describing the problem appear unabbreviated and spelled correctly. We could also add keywords that would help a searcher get to the right threads.
Just a suggestion. _________________ Jim

Even I, the one who let his front tire run low of air and ruined it, can find almost anything on this forum to fix what I have messed up. And also fix things that I did not mess up yet....... _________________ In the words of the stones
