But not by much.

I'm considering putting VDO gauges on my RS so I bought a VDO temp gauge to play with on ebay for $10. I hooked it up to my project K75 to see how it worked.

When it reads 210 that's when the fan turns on. According to a tech page at IBMWR the fan is supposed to kick in at 217 degrees F. So it's maybe off by 7 degrees. Not a big deal (to me anyhow) - just a point of interest.

Yea, I have one where the 200 dg mark is top dead center and that's where it runs. Fan kicks at 220. You might get their sending unit but like you said, no big deal.
