I am looking for a wire in the radio box on my LT that is powered on by the ignition. I have always been able to turn on my radio with or without the key in and I have looked for a wire in there that works off the ignition but haven't found one. Am I missing it.

Thanks for the help,

Rich if I'm not mistaken it should be violet/black for ignition switched power and Red for constant battery power.
The Violet should also go the the "cig" lighter socket if you have/had one.

Hey Scott,

I have the plug for cig lighter though the lighter isn't there and I checked it with my meter and it is always on. Is that normal?

Thanks,

Don't think so. Mine switches off with the ignition.
That doesn't mean the mine isn't wrong either. Shocked

Either way you should have both switched and unswitched in there, unless someone added the radio.

Now don't forget that there is 2 ign off locations on the switch.

Turning switch left from ingition on is 1st off. Engine off and handle bars free to turn. Radio and map light is still able to be powered on in this switch postion, and key can be removed.
Turn the key one more time to the left, (also is handle bar lock) turns off the radio and map light, key can only be removed when the handle bars are turned far enough right to lock.

Thanks Scott,

I didn't realize that the switch turned off the radio, etc on the second click and fork lock positions.
