And we wonder why motorcyclists have a tainted image. Found this on the BBC website about our Canadian neighbors.

My father hated Marlon Brando, all because of the "Wild One". Dad started riding right after WWII along with a bunch of other guys in a Philadelphia area club called the "Road Knights". They rode to Daytona, Laconia, Watkins Glen and many other places. They camped, they partied, but they never hurt anyone, or anyone's property. Then comes the Wild One. Soon no one would let them rent rooms in a hotel, or camp in a camp ground.
There are plenty of bad guys driving cars, but you do not see them getting mass press. How silly would a headline be "Man robs bank, drives away in car." But putting "Outlaw Biker Gang" in the title still gets reads. I know that when I travel in my textiles I have never had an issue getting a hotel room or food on the road. But I still won't watch the Wild One either. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

I think the bigger problem here is the idiot who can't understand the difference between a 'motorcyclists' and a motorcycle gang member. Until that is worked out and understood, it will never be right. _________________ 1995 K1100RS

But if you ride a BMW then they know you're not a gang member.

It's OK for HAs to ride Beemers, not sure why. I've heard that it has something to do with Aryan supremacy or something. Not sure if that's true or not.
Even Sonny Barger doesn't think much of HD and says he'd ride an ST1100 or a Beemer if he weren't who he is. He likes HDs because he's made a good living repairing them. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

The HAs main HQ guys ride BMW LTs. They prefer and statred out on Triumphs so HDs are not the choice just the defacto biker bike.
I've seen a few on BMWs. _________________ Mike Gullery

I would have to disagree....the pic shows the riders wearing the colors (vest) of HH. I doubt if some idiot would wear such if he wasn't a member. They seem to not take well to posers wearing their colors.
You must consider such members have Jekyll and Hyde personalities concerning the club and their families. _________________ Mike Gullery
