Very Happy Naw, I think I'll keep him around. He's handy for getting stuff off the high shelves and making coffee.

Stuff off the high shelves??? He's a midget compared to me. Very Happy

As for the riding, considering the places you've taken your bikes, I think you just would. :lol3

yeah i know... it is a 150 Eur. repair. But they also re-enforce the rest with some supports

Tell me more about these pics

Here i am removing the central bush in the out put shaft. it is a brass bush that i damaged and want to replace.

Here you see the bush removed and sitting on the thread of the (home made) removal tool.

This is the shaft without the bush, but with the shavings from thread cutting (there was no thread, i cut that in there).

I've just got word, the Exhaust is fixed! and only costs me 85 euro.
They predicted a price around 150 to 185 euro… but it was done quickly. When I get the pipes back I’ll post some more pics at the Dutch side.

Also just dropped the clutch parts off at the balance-guys. Hope the get it done before the weekend, he understood the urgency, but was Extremely busy (you could tell, EVERYWHERE he had new and old engine parts…… it was a relatively small warehouse/shop… I hope he does not misplace my parts Wink

Cool.
Good news.
I sure look forward to seeing how they repaired the header.
I busted one, and was told it would be cheaper to replace it w/ a used one than try to repair the broken one.

They repair it by cutting the broken pipe diagonally open at the end.
this way the repair the inner wall, than they put the triangle the cut out back in place and weld up that side. They have a special jig to put the 3 or 4 headers on (usually 4, as the K100 and the K75 have separated header pipes).

And as a final touch they put a support brace on the pipe, to spread the stress over all 4 in stead of only 1.

put 2 new pics on the dutch side, using 3 colors i've indicated how they repared the exhaust.
Red is the initial cut,
blue is the first weld,
green is the last weld (this also goes over a part of the red line).

How hard is it to get the rear main seal out and back in again? Were you able to just pull or pry the seal out or did you need to fabricate a tool to pull the seal? I need to fix the oil leak I have and I was thinking as long as I have everything apart I would replace the rear seal in addition to the o-ring seal. Thanks for posting pics. Orange coveralls, very stylish. Wink

Cheers,

Merle
