I did not get the tool kit with my K1100RS Crying or Very sad

Sorry to shout but....I want to carry THE BARE MINIMUM of tools, but still be able to repair things like leaking exhaust headers. Evil or Very Mad

I have tried to ask and get the sort of list required to re-float the Bismark Shocked

So I need:

Spanners (what size/open or ring)
Allen key/socket (sizes)
C Spanner
Spark plug spanner
Hook for HT leads
Flat screw driver(s)
Cross head Screw driver(s)
Gaffer Tape
Zip ties
Fix'o'flat can

Anything else?

I need the tool szes so I can go tool shopping (the best kind) Cool

Ok, my POV is lose the “fix o flat” Get yourself one of these. http://www.powersportequipment.com/product_items_detail.asp?item=999150213
And practice plugging bald tires at home. And this http://www.bestrestproducts.com/c-9-cyclepump-adventure-tire-inflator.aspx

As for tools, do you wrench your own bike?

If so, after doing so and before you put the tools away, write down every one you used, then you have made your tools list. That will get you the tool sizes as well.

A good multi tool is worth packing. http://www.leatherman.com/multi-tools/full-size-tools/default.aspx

This is a very good thing to have handy. http://www.jbweld.net/products/uses.php

Everybody has a mental limit on what they feel comfortable wrenching on the road and what point they’ll call for help or a tow truck. Knowing that with help you make your list.

In addition to your list, I think THE BARE MINIMUM of tools you should carry is what is needed to replace all lamps, plug and inflate a tire, access the battery and fuses, a spare key, remove the belly fairing, replace a sparkplug, one of each fuse and lamp electrical tape, and one clutch and on throttle cable, and tools needed to remove both wheels.

Always carry spare oil.

I hope that helps. Cool

as Shoganai stated
how much are you willing to fix on the road.????
what ever you add or make up i would include hex / allen key set of good quality
please keep this in mind . try and get quality tools. to many times i have had the "tool kit " tools break , rust out or be unusable because of the enviroment their are stored in.
a leatherman type tool is a must on and off the bike... that is if you tinker and fiddle .

Let me add two small things you would be stunned how many uses you'll have for them.

1. a peice of wire, flexable and firm.
2. a hemostat.

Yeah, them hemostats come in real handy when you lose the flange off your etymotic earphones, and manage to stuff it down your ear canal...
