Interesting....but after 2 years of owning a late model diesel pick-up, the advantages paled when:

-the price of diesel fuel which had always been lower than gas went up much higher than gas and has stayed there

-I had to get fuel in the greasiest area of filling stations- slippery too.

-the several times that I got even a small amount on my hands and they would stink for quite a while.

If they built it for the military then it probably only costs $60,000. Rolling Eyes

Allegedly... $25,000.00, give or take.

This is dated but interesting. I just read about these a few days ago. Apparently, they are working on one that will be a multifuel, eg deisel, kerosene etc.

That wouldn't be very good for the military. They'd only work during leaves!

Only the Reasonists. They believe in an evidence-based world, something called Rationalism. But it's a tiny group, not so influential.

I believe that's built on a KLR frame. I did a lot of research on diesel motorcycles when I started making biodiesel last year. I think Royal Enfield still makes a diesel too.

There was an article about the Military bike in on of the big bike mags last year. I believe it was Cycle World. They said it ran great and did everything you could ask of an off road bike, but they were just too expensive.

The idea for the military is to have all of there vehicles run one fuel to make it easier logistically.
