|
|
From Johnny's thread it seems as though there's some decent interest in those orange CATZ light. I certainly am interested in getting a pair for my LT.
Here's what they look like on the motoheap:
He's mounting them on the forks on his new motoprincess:
If you're in the US and interested maybe we can set up a group buy and get them for a lower price and lower the shipping cost too.
Please post in this thread if interested. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

That would probably work right up to the point where the guy sets a plate of hot pork paties in front of Johnny. After that is the price tripled and he thinks it's a wondeful deal! _________________ 1995 K1100RS

Are these the ones with a completely sealed/bonded lamp unit, meaning that if a bulb fails you have to replace the complete lens assembly? _________________

k11martin...
there are two screws on the side of the lamp body that you remove... then you slide the frontal lobe out of the the lamp body...
the you remove the bulb from the frontal lobe... then you slide in a new bulb into the frontal lobe... then you slide the frontal lobe back into the lamp body... then you install the 2 screws...
on the origional install you will need to turn the frontal lobe upside down anyway to get the condensation drain hole on the bottom... so when it comes time for replacing bulbs you will already have removed the frontal lobe on both lamps during the install...
this photo shows the condensate drain hole... i had already turned the frontal lobe upside down... you can see the seam running along side the drain hole... thats the seam for the frontal lobe...
this photo shows 1 of the 2 screws the you remove to remover the frontal lobe...
no more photos cause ms bug is off to wisconsin with the camera to see her sister...
