Ordered online for pickup at my local Kragen's. $59.56 OTD.

I guess availability varies depending on where you are? But I'd think if you ordered it shipped to you, it wouldn't matter...

Now that Obama has been elected, they have lowered the price to $27.51. There was only one left in the 5 stores nearest to me. I bought it as a backup or for my next bike.

(I used my god-like moderator powers to update the title of this thread with the new lower price.)

How come the stores always get it backwards? They're supposed to halve it BEFORE I buy one...

I got mine for $90 shipped. I still think that was a pretty good deal. Especially when a frickin' Throttlemeister is $125.

$55 for real cruise control is even better.

$27 is just insane.

Had mine for 100, been sitting in my garage for 6 months now.

No time to install it, how long does it take and how complicated is it?

(yes I have read the threads on it)

Just for grins, I looked up the MAX BMW price for the control unit for a K1200LTwing - almost 600 clams!!!

OTG: I'd guess 2 hours and about 4 beers. Making the mounting bracket for the control pad is really the only custom part of the job. Do that in your spare time and have it ready before you attack the install.

If you let me know when you're going to do it I could probably be around to provide some phone support for you if needed.

You rock!

Most likely will not be until mid-late Dec though.

Dave, I'm thinking about putting one on the '96 this winter as well. I was going to make another stainless bracket like I made for the '97.
I could just as easily make 2 if your interested in one?
I mounted it with 3M double sided tape right behind the choke lever. Been on there many thousand miles and still stuck tight.

Rob - I'd be happy to grab one of those and ship it to you, but my local parts store still lists them for $104.95 Shocked

If I can find the cheaper ones, I'll grab one for you and ship it to you - no promises...

Rob - I don't know where these super deals are. When I go to Kragen/O'Reilly's Auto Parts site - they show the Audiovox cc at $104.99. As a matter of fact - when I check any of the PartsAmerica stores online - they all show $104.99.

Maybe one of the other guys can help you out. I'd be happy to, but I can't find the deal anywhere....

I think they are closing out the vacuum operated version in favor of the solid state system. Maybe the price will come down on the solid state version now.

If I find a deal on one of them, I'll be sure to let you know.

Just checked Amazon again, it's not on sale now but it's still only $90 with free shipping.
