+1

I think they're made over there in the UK - you shouldn't have a problem getting one.

I didn't like the hardware that came with the Pyramid fender extender so I used BMW hardware that matches the rear fender entender hardware.

The only thing I added to mine was a bead of RTV, no holes, no screws.
It's been on there for 100K or so and has been certified at 130MPH (on a closed course) Mick

I always use RTV or silicone on all of my fender exenders - front and rear. Not so much for adhesion but to seal it to the fender so that the crappy dirty water doesn't seep through and make the fender extnder look all dirty and fugly.

The Pyramid extender hangs pretty low.

yeah, it does - but it keeps a lot of crud off the bike. I've had one on the last three K bikes - makes a big difference.

I cut the bottom off one when I installed an oversize tire on the front - just taking an inch or so off caused a lot more crap to get thrown up on the bike.

They're a little pricey for a piece of plastic - but worth it.

I have a 1993 K1100LT and fitted a very helpful and effective mudflap on the back of the front fender. I fashioned it from a rubber product called "potato belt", a re-inforced, layered belt manufactured for - You guessed it - moving potatos. It is about 1/4 inch thick and I made it wide enough at the top to curve around the base of the fender, giving it stiffness. I attached it with machine screws with 10mm diameter heads and nyloks. The only problem that I experienced was at first the extra air resistence overpowered the velcro fender fasteners at the fork, so I installed bolts through the bracket and that cured the problem. The only down side at all is that when I need to remove the front wheel, I have to undo those velcro replacement bolts. No big deal, so I'm very happy with the installation in general. As I live in the rainy Northwest and ride all year round, the mudflap was a really good addition. Doug
