Hi all.

It has come time to remedy those niggling little issues that I have put up with for YEARS.

Can anyone provide me with somewhere to source a replacement windscreen raising lowering system for my K1100LT. Also a new windscreen itself would be good, but not completely essential. I am in Perth, WA, Aust and apart from going to BMW themselves there is not much in the way of options.

I am also going to get the whole beast resprayed and looking like new. can anyone give me any things to look out for, things to remember, things to do whilst she is naked and in need of love or indeed any suggestions to bring her back to her former beauty.

Something like.... Oh. whilst you have her like that you might consider.................. or do this whilst you can...

Makes a huge difference in protection. I got the 5" model Euro cut ice blue and it's tall enough to deflect wind in the down position...I rarely use my screen now except in the rain, which is good because I need to tear apart my mechanism and see whats shot inside as well...I have 3-5" of play on both sides when it is up.
