More fiddling with my new TomTom GPS. I have tripmaster running in the background logging my track in GPX format. (A GPS interchange format.) Ran some errands today. Got home, hooked up the USB cable to the TomTom and loaded the GPX file straight from the TomTom into Google Earth.
When you zoom on Google Earth it gives the track more granularity.

Well, at least we know you didn't go to RideWest today but we do know now where you live...
(Excuse me--I've been gone from Seattle for a year and it was fun to see what I did--or did not--remember about the city at my advanced age.) |

My knowledge of Seattle is limited in its detail; over the five years of my tour there I only developed a general sense of its geography and topography, centered as I was on Fort Lawton/Discovery Park. Many neighborhoods (and most street addresses) escaped me then and now.
So the Google graphics made things much clearer.
I'd still like to have the opportunity to ride the city and--more significantly--the larger Northwest at my leisure, but it's a long haul up there from El Paso.
But the memories are still good. |
