HELP,
I could use some advise. I currently have a 93' K1100RS. I have been looking at the K1200RS and I've been watching them on Ebay, this is where I bought my K1100RS. I decided to bid on the K1200RS and I won it - saved at least $2000, this is why I bid on it. I didn't think I would win but I did. By saying this I know its a little late for the advise but I'll take it anyway. I have read that the 1200 is a much nicer bike the question is - is it? I have read that BMW had fixed all the little issues that the 1100 had. Has anyone ridden both of these bikes?
Thanks,

With the rubber mounted engine in the 1200, you'll think it has an electric motor driving it. Lots of K-bike torque. Overall, an improvement of the 1100.

I just sold my 2004 K1200RS and got back on a K1100LT. I loved the Rs but it sounds like a box of rocks when it is running while standing still. It made more noise then my Ducati. The only reason I sold it was I was using it to pull a camper trailer and it did not handle it so well. They are good for pulling smaller trailers but the weight of the camper was too much for it. Had the power to pull it but it was not as stable as the K1100lt. Somtimes I do miss it. Especially when I want more speed but I am getting too old and need to slow down anyway.

You might have more luck if you ask on a generic K forum - many people there will have moved from K11 to K12.
General feedback on the K12 seems to indicate much more complex computer control and very noisy engines at tickover/low revs.
