I can't remember who was complaining about their buzzy clutch handle but I found out something interesting when I put a new clutch cable in. I had never adjusted the old cable as it was working perfectly fine. The PO's notes said the last time it was replaced was 40K ago so I put a new one in and threw the old one in the tail.
Used to have a severe vibration on the clutch lever at 4K rpms and I rode it for almost a week before I noticed it was gone. I think the lower bolt below the tranny that you adjust wasn't adjusted right. I think this bolt just takes the pressure off the cable to keep it from stretching when not being used.
Anyway, if you have a vibration in the clutch lever try that adjustment, may work for you.
I tested it to about 8K in third this morning to see if the vibration just moved to another spot but it's all good. And my Garmin max speed read 104. Not good before daylight but there is too much traffic after the sun comes up! _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Had the clutch cable on my RS go on the way to work the other morning, didnt snap but just went very stiff to the point of having to put all four fingers behind the lever and push it out to engage the clutch, not good when filtering along 3 lanes of traffic on the main drag into London!!
When i fitted a new cable the old one had been routed all wrong, had 2 sharp 45 degree bends in it, on as it came out of the clutch lever adjuster and the other as it went down the outside of the instrument bracket, this had caused 4 of the strands to snap and jam up the cable.
Now got a really nice light clutch
On the subject of vibration my K seems to have a band of vibration between 3500 & 4500 Rpm, not too much of a problem, the way i ride its always way above that anyway _________________ 1999 K1100LTIC Smooth and Quiet Cruise, BFD & HID

Bingo. Will also cause your clutch to slip if too tight. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

How about your front brake lever, does it vibrate? Mine's pretty crazy and has needed to be replaced at least once. _________________ Jade
