Saw this on the BMWMOA forums and thought it might be of interest to folks who don't belong to that group:
Klassic K campout
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Announcing a new BMW event to honor Klassic K bikes.
From 1985 K bikes have been a reliable mainstay of the BMW motorcycle experience. There are examples with hundreds of thousands of miles on them. The oldest K bikes are almost antiques and the newest are over 10 years old. To date no event has been held to honor these trustworthy steeds. That will change on the last weekend of July 2008.
The first annual Klassic K campout will be held July 25-27 2008 at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle campground, http://www.blueridgemotorcyclecamp.com/ N 35o 24.235 W 82o 48.682, in Cruso, NC. The campground is located 6 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 Miles off I 40.
Of course all motorcyclists are welcome. Cabin space is limited / tent space is plentiful. There is no charge other than camping, food and supplies. Contact BRMCCG for cabin reservations. 828-235-8350
This event was started by the KBMW Yahoo group, http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/kbmw/ which provides technical assistance for Klassic K owners. We do have a couple of permanent names, for the event, in mind and will probably choose one that weekend.

I clicked on the yahoo link - here's the result: "Document Not Found Sorry, the document you requested is not available. Please click here to visit the Yahoo! Groups home page."
Isn't this event in the past? Over and done with? Or are they repeating Biltmore already? "Y'all come and see us @ the RA @ Biltmore" _________________ Jim

Jim, look at the link line very carefully.
There is a comma at the end after the slash, remove the comma and the link will work. Thats what I did and it came up for me. _________________ Ride safe.

link fixed. Thank you, Scott.
That doesn't change the fact that the Biltmore RA was in 2007. _________________ Jim

| Checked other posts on BMWOA board: the "Biltmore" line is part of the poster's usual signature block. |

Yes, it sucks - and always will since Curry became the mod. HTML isn't good enough for him (despite the fact that the rest of the planet uses it) so he refuses to move to something us common folk might actually find usable.
Here's how to get things into a presentation format which makes sense:
1) Go here: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/kbmw/messages
2) Pick any message from a "thread."
3) Scroll down to the bottom of the message - hit the "Expand Messages" link. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
