Two different sources selling it only listed preload as an adjustment, although it looks like there is an adjuster on the bottom. Even the progressive suspension site omits any reference to adjustable dampening or rebound. Yet the photos seem to indicate two adjustments other than preload... /shrug
FWIW, Progressive doesn't list a model for 1996 or later K1100 bikes. Of course, mine falls within that range. _________________ M N B

Manufacturers and parts stores often put on date ranges or omit bikes a proudct will fit so you can't count on that stuff. That's why it's handy to have the ETK which will tell you all the bikes a particular part will fit.
For example, I just found some aftermarket fork seals from "All Balls" that will work on our bikes - but they're only listed for K1s. Go figure.
Any shock for a 4 valve K(K100RS4V, K1, K1100RS, K1100LT) will fit your bike. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

So what's the nipple for on the other end of the shock? It looks like a gas adjuster, but I'm sure it isn't. 3 way adjustable for $350 is a pretty nice deal compared to Ohlins or Wilbers... _________________ M N B

Nipple? I'm pretty sure that the schrader valve is for charging the
internal nitrogen bladder. I've yet to get an answer from the mfg.
regarding the spring rate on this item. Does anyone know what
the 2 numbers mentioned relate to real world terms?
When I called my local aftermarket parts dealer regarding this shock,
& told them it was listed on ebay by Dennis Kirk's scratch & dent
store they said it was most likely a returned item, & may or may not
have a defect. Let the buyer beware, ad states no return available... _________________ Kent

It's a valve for putting nitrogen in.
I could be wrong but I think it only has spring preload and rebound damping adjustments. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
