The Germans sure do (smoke that is), I went to Hamburg about two years ago and was amazed at the percentage of smokers (probably like 70%) and the widespread public smoking, everywhere. It was like being in the States in the 60's and 70's.
But those are cool lighters, too bad the exchange rate makes them a bit pricey. _________________ Steve

My LT came with a lighter. It's kind of sucky though. They just used the same one that they put in cars - kind of hard to push in the center with gloves on. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Sorry, had to write this. More for me than for the group, but if it saves one of us, it saves us all.
As I rapidly approach middle age and have been riding for 30 years now, it's become painfully obvious to me that I'm loosing more people I know, and some I even love, to cancer, than I ever did to motorcycling accidents.
I was lectured repeatidly about motorcycles & that I'd get killed or crippled. could not stop.
I've been injured motorcycling through the fault of others, would not stop.
I've been frightened repeatidly by things I've seen while motorcycling, and
some times while NOT motorcycling, & will not stop.
Never smoked, so I could not, would not, will not start.
My grandmother smoked staright Camels when I was a kid. We HELPED her collect the coupons!!! I watched her die from lung cancer when I was 11. We are old school and brought her home to die. She weighed 67 pounds and could not hold down a cup of coffee on the last day of her life.
Her husband, my beloved grandfather, died of emphazema from smoking. He wheeled around an O2 bottle the last four years of his life and succumbed to heart failure from the strain.
My Mom smoked a long long time & I remeber making smokes for her from one of those home kit packages back in the 70's. That did not kill her though. She died from Mesothelioma, a particularly ugly form of cancer caused by asbestos on heating pipes in the nursing home she worked at. Killed her in 6 mo flat.
Smoke em if ya got em, I'll pray for you. _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

j o ,
Yes, it is true.
It also can lead to starched sheets and skivies over time.

Don't know about Chantix, but I have no problem denying the truth - completely voluntarily.
No, I do not visit this forum on company time... _________________ tlp

Two old dears in the home outside smoking in the rain.
One has a condom on the cigarette to keep it dry.
Other one sez - that's a great thing what an where?.
First dear sez - it's a condom, get it in the drug store.
Off she goes to the drug store.
"I want some condoms" - What size says girl behind the counter???
"Big enough to fit a Camel" - girl feints on the floor ! ! ! ! |
