1993 LT Fork oil proper amounts.
Right 400cc
Left 350cc
Why the difference?
I got twice the oil from the left (sitting on the bike) as the right. Still draining. Could this account for my harsh ride? I assume because of less air space. _________________ Current Bikes

They are different internally and 50ccs hang up in the left side. If you ever rebuild or take them apart they both take 400. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Finished. The proper amount of 10wt improved my ride by 90%. Highly recommended. _________________ Current Bikes

When you get tired of that ride you'll be asking about after market fork springs. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

FYI: Only one fork has rebound damping. That's why they're different. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Ok guys, what constitutes disassembly. Just removing the lowers to replace seals or totaly disasembling the inner spring/damper assy as well.
I have had mine open now for about a week. Just the lowers. Very well drained.
Should I do the 400 in each leg or only 350 in the left as listed.
Thanks. _________________ Ride safe.

Yeah, i would like to know as well. i have done my seals and duskcaps last week and also drained them "Quite well".
I used "about 400 CC" per leg. Ride is much better indeed... but i might now have 50CC to much...
anyone? extra note:
The manual (haynes dutch version) tells me a K100 has different amounts and the K1100 has THE SAME.... (that is where i based my 400cc on). |
