My 1994 K1100LT needs fork oil. I did a search here and found the info I needed except what brand and type etc. to use.

I use 10W Honda red stuff - seems to work well. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

You can't go wrong with BMW. It's what I use - 10W. Don't know who makes it for them. _________________ Jim

I'm like Jim, I use the BMW 7.5wt.
But you also have to consider how you ride. Some guys like the heavier oil. I'm considering trying it to see what the difference is if I like it or not. It's not that hard to change.

I use aeroshell lgf or fluid 41.Seems to work ok.

i will be installing amsoil 10wt. i have read on the board that this stuff is not a acidic as petro base oils ..hence it should be softer on the seals.. we will see.. _________________ fix the problem not the blame ; fix what is messed up ; NO one is to blame. |
