Picked up a cassette that connects to iPod to play through LT radio/speakers. Sounds absolutely great, however, tape deck auto-reverses every few seconds stopping play. Any ideas to correct problem? _________________ '93 K1100LT

Pop a regular tape in there, if it does the same you know the culprit is the deck, not the cassette that connects to the IPod.
I use a similar setup for my Ipod/Sirius radio and never had a problem, so I am suspecting it is your deck. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

It's probably an issue with the adaptor. The auto reverse on the cassette deck kicks in when it thinks the tape has reached the end. This is because the hubs no longer move. If there is too much friction on those parts, the deck will think the tape is at the end and switch.
A few hard raps on the side of the cassette case part of the adaptor might help jar anything loose that's binding. If not, return it and get a replacement. _________________ M N B

If it's any consolation I have the same problem with my tape deck
The answer was to buy an ipod FM transmitter which tunes to a station frequency on the radio, problem solved. But I would like the tape deck to work, happens with both normal tapes and the connection thingy.
Let me know if you find a solution
