A buddy of mine, Jack Riepe, wrote an article for the BMWMOA ON. Its about Centralia in Pa. I took a couple of the pictures he used. Funny stuff, he is a great writer. You can see me in the picture on the last page, I am in the green T-shirt.

I've got to tell you I laughed out loud numerous times reading that piece while sitting in a Starbucks store. Your friend is absolutely hilarious.

I usually breeze thru the MOA magazine without really reading the articles. I'll have to go back and peruse this one closer, since one of our own K11OG members is involved.

I got a beff stew, not too bad except for the mushrooms. The Cookie was good as well as the fruit juice. Not really a meal, but it warmed up well.

I was part of the "fast group" the leader of that group was on a Honda ST1300. He really rolls, but knew all the killer roads. Jack said that we got there after them, but really it was about the same time. We did about 1 1/2 times the milage they did, but they had lights and traffic and we only had to deal with some slow moving Harleys for a bit.

We have a nice way of dealing with larger groups on the back roads. Each man is responsible to look for the headlight of the guy behind him. If you see it every 30 seconds or so all is good. This way you can get strung out and ride at your own pace, but not get that whole group riding issue. I still prefer to be alone or with one other trusted guy, but every once and a while it can be fun.

Ted, I am about 4 hours north of you, coming up RT. 15 through Leesburg. Then PA Turnpike East. Not a bad trip. Centralia is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours north of here, and nice back roads the whole way. You have a standing invite. May 1st is when the baby is due, so maybe towards the end of summer. Its a great ride.
