I put my K75 project on hold for a while - fearing that a good paint job would run me $1500ish. Last week I found a local guy (Who was referred to me by another local BMW rider) who is going to paint, color sand and buff the whole bike and hard cases for only $600!!! Which also includes cleaning the dust and dirt out of the tank since it sat around for years without a gas cap. And drilling some holes to add a gas gauge and powerlet socket.
I dropped the parts off yesterday.
Here's the color I'm getting it painted. A nice deep red that was used on Acura NSXs. Not only is it a nice color but I can get touch up for $7 from any Honda car dealer.
Mmmmm.....Formula Red!
At that price, I might just get my K11LT repainted too!
I also went by a local sheet metal place and picked up some perforated stainless steel for the radiator and belly pan grills. I think that'll look cool. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Krikey that is a sick price!
Almost pay to ship your plastics to him to have it done.
Side cases too? Sheesh. (what about the top case?)
Not a big fan of the "custom" color, it's just another variation of Mystic Red imo.
Not that it's bad, but sort of ho-hum.
I mean if you are getting a paint job done, why not get something bitchen like blurple or something? _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Eh not to say that I don't like the red, but if you have the option to go a bit crazy, why not kick it up a few notches?
Think.......whos bike got mauled by a lawnmower and repainted it deep blue? (was previously red)

Red is the best color for a K75S. Period.

Comcast is my ISP - don't get me started.
Their servers randomly go back to what they looked like 6 months ago. And I've revamped a lot of my web stuff since then.
How's this?

I'm gonna sell it when it's done - and I live in Seattle.
I have three sets of BLACK system cases and a set of BLACK city cases for MY use. So there! _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Figured that was probably the case (no pun unintended)...but thought it might be good to know if there had been a change of heart on the subject...or if we were seeing a sideways method of "coming out" with other news. _________________ tlp

That was my first K bike. It was in MINT condition with 35k when I bought it. I owned it for about 3 or 4 months before I fell asleep from having a massive hangover and drove it off the road at 60 mph. Needless to say, it was totaled.
(I don't ride hungover anymore. ) _________________ 93 LT (x2)
