For the past couple of years, I have recorded the mileage on my various bikes on Jan. 1 and totaled the mileage for the year.

2007 was a down year for me. Wet a lot of the year, a surgery that kept me grounded for two months, and a new car that captured my attention too much of the time. The K bike has been off road for about 3 months now for transmission troubles. The ST was in the shop for a month for transmission troubles (warranty), is there a pattern here? Here goes:

2007
K bike- 3249 miles
Ducati- 751 miles
R12ST- 8833 miles
Total- 12,833 miles

2006
K bike- 8578 miles
Ducati- 2364 miles
R12ST- 9416 miles
Total- 20,358 miles

How did you do?

Frank

Is that kilometers? It's still impressive for 6 months.

A bunch. More than some and less than others. Very Happy

I stopped keeping track of miles when I started riding multiple bikes. Too much math. Rolling Eyes I used to keep logs of miles and gas when touring too - gave that up as well. Now I just ride and don't worry about it.

I got an email from Dave Swisher the other day. (I believe he's one of the first BMW-corporate-approved million-milers.) He told me that this year he put 29k on his 97 K1100LT and another 24k on his 96 K1100LT.

the bug eye brick was on the back of my truck for about 27,000 miles in 07...

i would report the bikes mileage but since klinker busted my spedo in april it runs at 50% about 50% of the time... so im guessing about 12k total beyond klinkers 2.4k in his epic 2 day sprint...

Worst year in a long long time, 3,500 mls at the most, down from 30,000+ the previous few years.

EXCUSES ; Moved jobs, used to work 160 mls from home, now work 5 mls from home Very Happy
She who must be obeyed broke 3 ribs, her wrist and her foot just below the ankle - all at different times - so I ended up driving the Big Blue Box for most of the year (Mainly to hospital appointments LOL)

At least I'm happy in the knowledge that things can only get better!!

I did about 9K. 5 of it from ME to MT and back, ...and was it fun! It sure was. I look for more miles this year and I'll increase the next year and I'll double that the year after. Shit, I won't know when to stop,at least I hope I won't.

I ride two bikes and have never tracked mileage except for service intervals. I travel with work and only get to ride on the weekend. If I had to guess I think I rode about 7k miles last year.

2007 wasn't a good year for me either. I rode 7257 miles. I usually ride 10-12K. 2/3 were on my K.
