here is a little contest for you k11og folks...

i ordered a new bagster tank cover and tank bag... 6 weeks into waiting on the new one... thinking the new one would never come... i scored a used one from ibmwr...

well the new one showed up 12 weeks into it... i have had it ever since... but did not start using it until this week... so i have the used ibmwr tank cover and tank bag ready for a give a way...

here it is...

the little metal clips on the tank cover by the knee pads came off several weeks ago... so i velcroed them to the cover and now use the velcro instead of the latch... the latches still work properly... the velcro works dang good too...

so here is the deal... i gotta replace my rear shock... so im going to roll the bike over a scale at a weigh station...

just guess the weight of the bug eye brick as pictured below... the k11og that guesses closest gets the bagster... absolutely complementary of course... continental usa k11og folks only... sorry...

for a tie breaker... guess the weight of the bug eye brick and the johnny owrstrich combined...

this little contest concludes at midnight on november 16th and will ship upon receipt of continental usa shipping address...

just the bug eye brick (with cases full) as pictured here...

and the bug eye brick with the johnny owrstrich combined as pictured here...

one guess each... ends november 16... good luck...

crazy aint it...

Do you have any problems with the bag fitted like operating handlebar switches when steering is turned on a lock? I have the same set up on the LT and when the bag is on if I turn left lock the stereo is retuned and the horn sounded if I turn to the right it operates the indicator. I've yet to find a better tank bag system and have been runninig with Bagalux/Bagster for 20 years but there is always some interferance.

you guys are killing me...

1... you have to guess the bike as pictured...

2... then guess the bike with the johnny owrstrich geared up as pictured...

particulars... the tank is full of fuel... the bung is full of tools and a tire kit... the top case is full of her sh1t... i dont even want to know whats in there... the side cases have water bottles and our cold weather gear and our wet weather gear... the tank bag has more gear like a digi cam and hand warmers and gloves and glasses and locks and plexus...

so now that you have an understanding as to whats what... you can keep your origional guess or enter new guess in a new post below... no more monkey business...

i dont have a garage or a house or an apartment to keep stuff at... i gotta to shed some stuff... my trailer is overflowing...

Das Boot 682lbs for the bike and 971lbs combined... Laughing
BlackHoof 1500lbs combined but no guess for bike only... Wink
Off the grid 725lbs for the bike but no guess for combined... Confused
Technician no guess... sorry... bloody sorry... and sometimes the bagster will switch my headlight from high to low... but that is it... Crying or Very sad

crazy aint it...

G'day guys

Pity I can not play too. Sad

But what the heck, 766lbs for the bike (including her sh**) and with Johnny on board 989lbs.

Damn, I wanted a new tank bag to hold my CD and MP3 player.

Have fun

that is fire pollution debris from the santiago canyon fire here in the socal... which is only 9 miles from here and still burning but not in a bad way...

even under the cover the bug eye brick was completely covered... the wind just blew that stuff into every knook and kranny...

so as you see the dirt has historical significance and will not be cleaned...

im thinking instead of velcro that those latches could be pop riveted to the cover which maybe better than new... how those froggs attached those latches to the cover is the weakest part of the bagster system...

crazy aint it...

Actually the latches 6 months in still work flawlessly.

The side retention clips however, one broke on the first day when I was tightening down the bag. Replaced it with 2 D-rings, but how they could make that part out of plastic eludes me.

Crazy French people.

i had some broad in a land rover with a cell stuck to the side of her face attempt to pull u right in front of us... it ended up being a 3 point turn which clogged up the narrow 2 lane...

2 up abs panic stop with my 6 pack abbs pressing against the tank bag pulled the 3 prong things out the the cover... i successfully reinstalled them but they were not right cause the holes got wallered...

other than that i have developed an emotional attachment to the bagster...

crazy aint it...
