I have a 1994 K1100rs. I want to replace the crankshaft oil seal in the timing case cover, using the original type oil seal and not the teflon type that BMW only seem to sell now.
With the Hall sensor and timing cup removed, it seems possible to carefully pry out the old seal, then equally carefully replace with a new orignal style seal.

Has anybody done this with the case in situ?

Thanks.
