He is also saying that the 25 year old original tires were "checked" and are "good to go". I would be very suspicious about everything else on a bike that has been sitting for 25 years. He is going to want big money, but realistically it will need a bit of work to make truly road-worthy. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

He does say somewhere that he has 2 brand new tires still in plastic. There is a difference between unused and new... still have to check date codes. _________________ Jim

I've had 'new' tires delivered that were still 2yrs old from mfgr date stamp.
Obviously the more popular the tire the more likely the date codes will be more current, less shelf life. _________________ Ride safe.

Hah! Bought new tires for the Prius years ago - a little before I needed them. They were either 3 or 4 years old - from Amazon, no less! Some asshole stole them before I got them installed. Went to the hated NTW, got the same tires for a little less - and they were only a few months old. _________________ Jim

Hahaha! If I had your money, I'd burn mine...
Seriously - between the RT crash and the seemingly never ending 5+ year rebuild of the RTP, I don't think I'll be buying anything anytime soon.
As if all that wasn't bad enough, my pristine '93 Nissan Homy Limousine with only 34,000 miles was totaled May 12th.
