Get some form of exercise. Walk, jog, ride a bicycle.
Endorphins (produced by exercise and raising your pulse) really do work wonders. _________________ John & Cathy

Its been a crappy year! Its not just you. A walk, run, or bike ride helps. Or, just somethings that gives you a sense of satisfaction. I've been working on polishing the blue off my R bike's exhaust pipes. Detailing the car including cleaning all of the windows inside. Whatever you find pleasure in. _________________ 2014 R1200RT Water Cooled

You think you had a bad year? In May I spent a week in ICU after I cracked eight ribs. Fortunately I managed not to puncture a lung. Then in the fall I spent another three weeks in ICU after I mysteriously contracted bacterial pneumonia on the other side. I lost 1/6th of my normal body weight and was pretty wiped out by the time they let me out of the hospital. But I survived and am back in good health now. A few weeks ago I was able to take my first ride in over four months!
My New Years resolution will be to stay out of ICU this year. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I'll see your ICU adventures, and raise you an antibiotic-resistant infection on the bottom of my right foot that created an abscess that had to be sliced vertically and left open to heal from the inside out. Still healing, but thankfully it no longer looks like I have a vagina on my foot anymore. Not just any vagina, but one that belongs to a prostitute monkey who just got home from a hard night's work. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

I don't know about that. For three weeks I had three 3/4" tubes inserted through my back into the sack around my left lung draining nasty fluid out. I could not have ANY food or drink and had to stay alive off of IVs. That's how I lost 1/6th of my weight. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I did that in 2001. Acute pancreatitis. Died and was revived. 15 days intubated and sedated. 2 months in and out of hospitals. Not fun. Wife still doesn't know if what left was the same thing that came back. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

Damm guys, were there at least cute nurses in the hospital?
When I had my appendix out a few years ago I was expecting Grey's Anatomy, my "nurse" had full sleeve tattoos and an Airborne Tab on his BDUs. _________________ 2014 R1200RT Water Cooled

Not for me. Not cute, but they took good care of me. They put me in the same suite (yes, a SUITE) at Zale Lipshy Hospital where they were taking care of Dallas Cowboy's head coach Tom Landry until the last days of his battle with leukemia. Apparently they used me as a teaching aid because I had the biggest pancreatic pseudocyst anyone had ever seen (1.5 gal of fluid drained). I had some VERY good self-service drugs (a morphine-something pump with a switch that I could press every 4 minutes for a small dose) that kept me in la-la land, but once in a while I would wake up to see myself surrounded by my gastroenterologist and a bunch of his young students. I had the huge room all to myself, and the other side of the suite was another suite for my wife and son if they wanted to spend the night. Pretty frickin' amazing. That is the only hospital stay I have truly enjoyed, despite all the crap I went through. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

I had lots of different nurses on different shifts. A few were young hotties. I don't know what it is about the profession but lots of the nurses were pretty tatted up. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

yes thank you, as much as possible I am staying away from synthetic meds, instead I prefer more of getting better natural ways. |

No med is synthetic, they are all made from things that come from somewhere in nature. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.
