That looks like a great time will be had. Beach racing on classic bikes should be interesting - I did that at Sellicks Beach here in South Oz with a single cylinder Norton ES2 back in the 80s or so.

Suitably warm here today - around 42C so no problems with the cold Very Happy

Hi Darryl- sounds like a fun trip.

Say hi to Helen for us from up in New Hampshire.

Ice and snow here and temperatures below 0° C. Springtime should be here in 2-3 months.

We will get down to NZ some day. Retirement for me is less than 2 years. Hopefully then...

Safe trip.

John

5000km 2 up on a 650 v strom 2019.
Weather started hot up to 35 then rain and floods near bottom of NZ temp down to 9 in invercargil .
invercargil gave us all 4 seasons in a day.

leaving Invercargil weather fined up and back into the 30s. great ride home with river swims to cool down.
Would be good to see u this side John and Cathy.

Hi Daryl...
That sounds like a super trip... I think both John and I, plus many others, are really stoked at just the thought of such an adventure! I’ve been a Burt Monro fan since I first learned of him when I was in college now some 50+ years ago, and the village, town, or city of Invercargill has always held a fascination for me. Did you happen to take any pictures you’d care to share while there ?

Best to you, and continue to Ride Safe...../ Ernie in NH

Hi Ernie
Photos of mostly the trip
The rally is all about the racing they put on for the rally, 4 days thursday hill climb and harley drag racing, Friday track , beach racing, saturday track racing and speedway, sundaystreet racing.
Because of bad weather we got their late Thursday and Friday we went jet boating then watched some of beach racing, saturday watched the speedway which was the best 4pm to 8pm some great racing, sunday packed up to go home.
Not sure how to add photos but may try.

Darryl
Perhaps u guys should get a group together for a trip to the Burt.

Hi Darryl. I hope you guys didn't get stuck somewhere. Things are going crazy and pretty much everywhere is shut down.
