Holy dooley; talk about pearls before swine. No wait, the Imp was a rear engine
A fine example of a product of the Rooted Group! _________________ David, owner of:

The engine was not originally intended for a car.
It was originally designed by a company called Coventry Climax as a power plant for high pressure water pump which was fixed on a two wheel chassis to be towed by another vehicle used as a suplimentary water pump to be used by various fire services including the military.
It was a single overhead cam, 4 cylinder petrol engine of 750cc later 850cc. The engines used in the cars had a larger cylinder capacity. _________________ 1997 K1100LT
