After spending far too much time and curses destroying old fork seals to get them out, I bought one of these.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-37439-Universal-O-Ring-Puller/dp/B000PJCBVM
It is cheap as chips (€11 in Ireland).
It gets the seals out in about two seconds flat.
I cannot stress enough how much easier this makes the job. _________________ '08 K1200GT

I've got a very similiar looking seal puller that's been in my tool box for years, very handy.
I don't remember for sure where it came from, probably the local auto parts store. _________________ Mike Currin

I was thinking that I could organise to send them over, if you can't source them in the US.
But it would be easier, and cheaper to make one up. They are not that complex. Just a cut piece of metal, riveted to a handle.
I am in the workshop again on Tuesday, I'll take a few pictures and measurements and post them up here.
Anyone with a jigsaw and some flat plate could make one up easily enough. Then put on a handle and you're set. _________________ '08 K1200GT

I was wondering through Sears this evening and low and behold in the automotive tools section they have one. $8.99 regular price, number is
9 47645. Craftsman, Made in the U.S.A. and no need to pay for shipping! _________________ 1997 K1100LT

It seems so that they are readily available, and cheap, in the US
If you need, or want, to make one - here is a sketch of the head. This could be made up out of flat plate, and adapted to suit any handle you had.
I have given one measurement in millimetres. It's 85 mm wide.
