|
|
I'm in copper Harbor, Michigan. bike died while riding, now no sound from fuel pump. Recently filled tank, then on rough roads.
I jumped with 12 v to green/white, And ground to brown- nothing.
Fuel gauge , temp gauge work when ignition is turned on.
A least girlfriend has a sense of humor!
Ideas to test pump? Or Jerry rig for about 40 mile to a town with parts and cell phones?

Sounds like either:
1, the fuel pump has actually quit.
2, the power lead for the fuel pump(green/white) has broke internal to the fuel level sending unit assy(where the wires pass thru the tank to get inside from the outside) The only way to correct this is to replace the sending unit assembly. _________________ Ride safe.

Fuel pump replaced and we now have a working rig!
I'll post more in a few days when I have a real Internet connection instead of the smoke signal speed available at the campground.
Thanks all! _________________ 1993 K1100LT
