Howdy!
Thought I'd join up and check in with the rest of y'all. New BMW K1100LT owner as of Wednesday this week. Gateway BMW in St Louis is doing a "once over" on it, then I'll go collect it and start riding. Perhaps we'll meet each other on the road. I'd prefer to do more than just signal "keep the rubber side down" and would enjoy conversation over a trailside meal and / or drinks. Since I'm a newbie, any wisdom or finesse you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

All right, then. Is this photo too darn big for the forums? Weren't the restrictions 80x80 pixels and 8kb?

Once again, we see that size matters.
I'll set up a PhotoBucket account when I get home, take some snaps of the bike, post them to it, then use a thumbnail view for here on the site. Hopefully, that'll take care of the s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g I'm currently experiencing.

So...I wanted to see if I could snatch a pic from PhotoBucket and dump it into the text block and show off the new bike in a larger format than the thumbnail of my avatar. Here goes:
Did I mention PhotoBucket ROCKS for this kind of application!? Yowsa!
When I get the bike into my hot li'l hands, I'll take pix of "the real thing" and post something again, you know, kinda like an update. You realize I'm seeking approval, don't you? Let me know what you think. And, BTW, point me to the Pictures forum, so I can envy YOUR ride.
