Heres one for the brain trust , its been suggested to me that the crankshaft in k100 is the same as the k1100 , anyone know for sure , I believe they increased the bore and the stroke remained the same so they may have just carried the crank through to the next model. Thanks AB [still got 2 k bikes in my fleet]

Yes - looks like they are the same. Part # 11 21 1 464 207

Easy way to check which bikes a part fits: go to https://www.maxbmw.com/ > parts > classic parts fiche

Look for the part you want to check. Once you've found the part, double click the part number, or highlight it and copy it.

Go back to parts, click the search box on the right, skip the narrow down part, then paste the part number in the box and click search.

A window will open with all the bikes that part was used in - ECE and USA models.

I think RealOEM is the fastest way to look up parts.
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do

Once you select your bike or enter the last seven digits of the VIN you can save the link to that page.

!993 LT example link:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partgrp?id=0536-USA-09-1992-89V2-BMW-K_1100_LT_0526%2C_0536_

Then I check Max for current availability, pricing and maybe pics for one or several part numbers:
