Last August I let the tabs expire on my 94 RS. I've got other bikes to ride so I put it in the corner of the garage and, aside from hooking a battery tender up to every month or so, ignored it.

This August I did buy tabs for it but since I bought a K1600GT in June and I like riding my K75S locally I still just let it sit in the corner.

A friend of mine called me up today and asked if I wanted to go riding tomorrow so this afternoon I brushed the garage dust and cob webs off of it to ride tomorrow. The "crappy" PC680 that I put in it 10 or 11 years ago wouldn't start it even though it read 12.5 volts so I did have to swap in another battery. But after that it started right up. I'm not a big exhaust fan but it's got the quieter street Remus on it that I think sounds awesome.

I just took it for a 30 mile spin along Hood Canal and MAN I forgot how much I really enjoy riding it. I was considering selling it now that I have a K1600GT but now I'm pretty sure it will be part of my estate when I die.

...and hence the very weird reports to police about a motorcycle-riding Howard the Duck lookalike. Very Happy
