|
|
Hi All,
I recently purchased a '97 K1100LT that is in storage until spring. I would like to get a jump on adding highway pegs, but don't know the O.D.
of the crash bar. I'd be interested in all recommendations of highway pegs for this size bar. I do like the Illium Works look of pegs, but they don't
explicitly have one for the K1100LT.
Have fun,

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the reply and link. Do you happen to know the O.D. of the bar the pegs attach? There are multiple sizes offered.
Have fun,

The #7976 is for a 1" bar, and I have to shim it a bit.
I measured it at 25.3mm or .98" _________________ Ride safe.

If you get the Kyrakyn ones them mount them up high. Otherwise they will scrape, even when folded up. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Personally, for me, I got the wide offset ones and I don't specifically put my feet on them but rather I lay my leg on it just above my ankle(but still with my boot).
With how I have to bend my knees to get around the fairing of the 'LT' it's way easier and more comfortable than trying to put my foot on it.
Another note, as the bars are connected to 'rubber' mounts they are not 100% solid and will move with pressure of trying to keep my foot on it flat.
Maintenance tip, check the mounting/adjusting screws regularly..... else you will look down sometime and realize you are missing one.. BTDT somewhere outside of Yellowstone. _________________ Ride safe.
