I put my windshield on today and went for a ride. I picked the standard size because for me with the standard size I can ride with it down and have wind in my face for cooling or raise it a little and only have wind on the top of the helmet at the vent or if I raise it a little more it get no helmet buffeting and all this with still being able to see above the windshield. It worked great and with it being a little wider than the original one I lost some of the buffeting from the sides.
The shield does have a little distortion where it is molded but for me it is not distracting and I look over the windshield anyway. The thing that is different is that the V-Stream is rounded from side to side unlike the original which is sort of straight in front and rounded on the sides. I didn't think this made a difference from what I can tell unless this helped with the side buffeting.
When I got the invoice it said K11OG Promo so if you order one mention this for free shipping.

I found the distortion a little annoying when I first put mine on. Now it does not bother me at all. Once I got my preferred helmet back from the painter I was able to lower the screen even more. This screen is quieter and controls the buffeting better than the OEM piece.
If you are thinking of a new screen, this is the one to try.

I installed a V Stream on the K11 about the same time Rich did. Yes, there is a little distortion at the sides, but not enough to be bothersome.
The V Stream isn't damaged by impact like the stock screen. Easier to keep clean. No complaints. When the shop that was working on the K11 "lost" the windscreen motor, mount and V Stream shield, I ordered another for that bike, as well as one for the K75. _________________ Jim

Based on opinions in this thread, I have one on order today to see how nice it will be. _________________ 1996 K1100LT
