What terribly sad news, it really looked like you had it beaten there for awhile mate
Darryl and I will always remember your humor, great smile, the snoring in the top bunk above us in our cabin at HM 111 and of course your wonderful spaghetti, which I missed out on for 2nd's as it had all been devoured by the time I got back into the kitchen, so was looking forward to the next time we are over for an HM to have my 2nd's
So mate our thoughts and prayers go out to you and to all your family, we will be praying and thinking of you, here in New Zealand. _________________ Paul & Gill

Phil Marvin is an amazing man. The last 5 years have been rough on him with the loss of his beloved Harriet, the deer strike and his battle with cancer.
Though through it all I've seen/rode with Phil on 2 separate occasions and have had many phone calls with him. He never once complained or expressed anger. A true gem of a man.
I hope he is pain-free and with loved ones.

Sorry about your loss Marian. I met you and Phil last year in TX with Gwen.
With regard to HM, I will tow the toy hauler down with the S1000 on the back and either the K12s or Blue Streak dear. You can ride the other.

Marian
Sorry to read about Phil. Donna & I never had the pleasure, but I did exchange many emails with Phil, he did send me an oil level window and got me back on the road while waiting for BMW to manufacture that part.
We were planning on riding back from HM with him for part of the way.
Prayers to you & your family

Hi Marion, although I have never met Phil , or anyone else in the US from this forum, I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to you and your family and hope all works out over the next few stressful weeks. Phil looks like a lovable rogue from what I have read and seen in the photos, I wish I had met him.
Motivation for a trip to USA I reckon and join a Hungree xxxx, won't be this year but definitely next year.
Wishing you all the best from halfway around the world downunder.

Marian called me to say our friend Phil has passed away today.
Chip also sent me an email.
My prayers are with them both.
His genorsity, bold laughter and warm smile will be greatly missed.
This picture was taken the last time I was to see him in TX Aug. 2011.

Great sadness
I am thankful that after corresponding with him for many years I finally got to meet Phil and shake his hand. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten! _________________

I never met Phil, or spoke to him, but from what I have read on this forum, he was obviously a great guy.
From the UK, I send my condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace.

Marian,
We are so sorry for your loss.
Your father was a friend to everyone he met.
We all loved him. I had many phone conversations with him about bikes, meetings and all sorts of things. I will miss him so.
But now I am out of words. A hole that I haven't felt since my own Dad passed.
Phil was such a great guy.

Marian
So sad to hear the news of Phil's passing.
I feel so lucky to have met him, if only for a short time at HM111, but he left a lasting impression on me and I'm sure on everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Rest in Peace mate.

Wow, I'm so sad to hear of his passing. I wish his spirit a speedy journey to the next place.
As I said earlier, Phil was an original, there can be no other....
I was humbled to serve as his bread prep man at HM3 for his famous pasta.
Best wishes and warmest condolences to his family and friends.
The world just got a little smaller.... _________________ Steve

Damn! That's awful.
RIP, Phil. You were a great guy and it was an honor to have known you. May you and Harriet always have the sun at your back and curvy roads ahead in heaven. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Phil was a great man and will leave a lasting impact on those that knew him for a long, long time. I'm sure his antics will be laughed at for many K11 gatherings in the future.
Is there a better way to immortalize someone?
Phil lived a good, honest, hardworking life. We could all wish to do so well.
He is at peace now. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
