Sounds to me like the switch contacts are dirty. It's not impossible to disassemble the switch contacts, however it is very easy to loose pieces when doing it.
I'd recommend just removing the switch ... |

Yes there are damper cartridges in both forks, however the one for the right side fork has different internals in it. That's why it takes less oil on a oil change(when not full disassembled)

My coolant temp light always comes on when I turn on the ignition as a "lamp check". It goes out as soon as the motor starts. |

My guess for multiple seal leaks would be worn bearings, just enough that the seal isn't mating properly on the shaft surface. |

When you say you installed a radiator off of a k100, by chance did you notice how thick it was.
The standard k1100 radiator has only 2 cross cores. Some k100 radiators had 3 cross cores for more heat ... |
