Hi all!
I'm having some trouble in connecting the heated grips I bought for my K RS. They come from a K LT (compatible, right?), but it seems that there some parts missing. I can't tell which.
So, this is all I have:
Two grips with wires and one button, also with wires.
Can someone tell me what more wires and connections are required? Better: does someone have the heated grips wiring scheme from the LT?
My RS's handlebar doesn't have any hole for the wires, but I guess this is the least... Help, anyone?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Carlos

There's an intermediate wiring harness that goes between the main wiring harness, the grips and the switch. I think I've got one for sale if you're interested.
Does that switch have two wires or three? It looks like two in the picture. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I believe I am, Duck. The seller suggested me to ask a auto electrician to make the connections, but I don't know any and I have no idea about what's missing. Put that harness aside for me, please.
And can you get me a scheme of the wiring? Even if it's hand-made, it'll do. Just for me to understand what connects to what, what I have and what I'm lacking. Thanks in advance!

Three wires. Take a look:
Is this important?
I appreciate your help, Duck! _________________ Carlos

That's the correct switch.
I'll email you a copy of BMW wiring diagram for heated grips.
I'll dig up that wiring harness too and email you a picture of it. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Got it. I'll take it to my friend, the mechanic, to see what he can do. Thanks! _________________ Carlos

The orange wire in the intermediate wiring harness is special resistive wire that lowers the voltage for the low setting of the heated grips. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
