Good evening,
I have a question about my exhaust, specifically, the way it attaches to the bike. I usually go out this time of year to the barn and look over the bike since winter storage, rid it of any stowe aways IE mice. Evil or Very Mad I have noticed that the nut/bolt/stud, is missing out of #1 cylider header pipe collar. Rolling Eyes One is still there and is still tight. Question is, is it a stud? If so how does it go into the bike? via threads? (can't tell) And how hard is it to replace? I hope it is not snapped off. I guess I need to remove the header off the bike to do this? Get a part from ??? Dealer? Beemerbonyard? Have dealt with them before, a great place to get parts. Any useful comments would be greatly appreciated. Smile

Threaded stud.

If it's just missing, not broken off, then you shouldn't need to remove the header.

To install a replacement just put two nuts on the end of it to lock against each other and put a 12mm wrench on the outer one. Once it's installed then remove them.
