I have spent the last 3 months riding Mexico, Central America and South America on my K1100RS.
I crossed the border at Tecate and rode to Anaheim today. Upon arrival at the Hotel I noticed an FJR, R1200RT and K75 with Utah plates. That K75 looked showroom new. They rode from Salt Lake City to Anaheim on Friday.
The K75 rider said his name is Sam, and he used to post here. He told me the whole story and looked up the post on his phone. His handle is Brickzilla and this is his post.

I will be home soon and will be clearing out my place of all things K-Bike except this 96RS. It's the best ride ever.
It is 70 degrees and sunny here. Perfect Supercross weather. _________________ Communique via Garmin ZUMO 665 via HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 via The Spoken Word Talk to Text |

Wow, that sure deserves more information. How? Why? Do you have an online journal of that trip? Photos? Road reports? I'd like to see that! _________________ Carlos

The long road is a rainbow and the pot of gold lies there.
So slip the chain and I'm off again,
You'll find me everywhere. I'm a Rover. - JT
