Decided to have a look at why the clutch switch isn't working. It appears it has very little movement ie you can push the plunger in about 1mm and that's all. If you try and pry it out it comes out about 5mm but it isn't coming out by itself which leads me to think it is stuck somewhere inside. Can someone confirm how much it should come out.
Had a look at how to remove it and it looks like you need a 2/3 tube spanner to unscrew it. I've got nothing that would get in there. What a pain in the arse bit of design that is!!! Any hints on it's removal????? _________________ K1100RS '97

Did you try spraying any lube in there to free it? _________________ Jim

Yeah I gave it a dousing with WD40, but I think the switch in behind the shiny plunger is the culprit. _________________ K1100RS '97

Grab it with any kind of pliers that will work and squeeze as hard as you have to. It's toast anyway. The new one goes on easy except on your wallet. _________________ Jim
