I just picked up a zumo so I am looking at selling my 2820 which has bluetooth and is waterproof. It works great and was just updated to the CN North America NT2011.20 maps. This comes with the bike power supply, 110v power supply, a power cord for use in the car and a garmin beanbag base for in car use. This also comes with a glare shade that fits on when it is in the mount. The mount is lockable and is anodized aluminum with vibration absorbing bumpers built in.

$285 shipped

A GPS search here brought me to your post just now. How you likeing this GPS and set up? I'm looking to do something of the same on my KRS.
Cheers.

The 2820 is a great unit. I really like the Touratech mounts. You can lock it in and walk a way from the bike for a minute without worrying about it walking away. Also mounting it this way lets me just look down a little to see it and not off to the side which is what I don't like to do if it was mounted on the handlebars.

Rich's customized mounting for a K bike is awesome. I bought a similar setup from him a while back & love it. In addition to a GPS it functions as an easier to read speedometer.

Are you still in a position to make the mount rail, if so how much would you charge for the mount and shipping to the UK.

I will look in the garage tonight and see what materials I still have. Do you want just the rail or do you want the rail, the holes drilled and tapped and the small rectangular plates?

Here is the finished mount. It fits in the two inner blank switches on the dash so no holes to drill.

Can you see the turn signals on the cluster with that? I've got my TomTom mounted there and being 6-2 I can't see the turn signal or high beam indicators.

I solved that by hooking up the turn signals to the hazard indicator with a couple of diodes and put a blue LED in the unused legacy choke light for the high beam indicator.

I can't vouch for any other mount but for the Touratech on my 2820 and now my 660 I have no problems seeing the signals or the high beam.

I wouldn't mount it there on my RS for asthetic reasons but on my LT it's really nice to have the GPS there right at the bottom in the middle of my field of vision. That looks like a nice setup using the switch holes.
