You know, it’s easy to think a forum, or any M/C forum is ‘about the bike’.

I didn’t believe that even before Lobby said it.

It’s a really about the people. The bike is just a means and an end.

Lobby rode for Houston to Culpeper where he spent the night with us.
As promised, Leo delivered hugs from friends faraway.

Supper was grilled steak, baked potatoes, and broccoli with cheddar sauce.

When Jack90201 heard Lobby was going to be here he rode up to meet Leo at our home the next morning. And he brought fresh bagels from his store and my favorite honey pecan cream cheese. That went very well with Steve’s sausage gravy and biscuits, fried eggs and bacon.

Steve and Leo attempted to go for a ride but it was short lived.
Somewhere down the rode they stopped to help a fellow with a log splitter with a flat tire.
It was there that Steve noticed the GS heavily leaking oil and they came back home.

See, because they stopped to help a stranger, it may have very well saved the GS engine.

It wasn’t about the bike, it was about people helping people. The bike was just a means.

Well there was no longer time for a ride so Steve and I drove Leo to the Metro station where he went into DC to stay with Jarvis for a few days.

A few days later he was done with his DC business and Phil and Becky collected him up and we made the Lobby Exchange at http://www.mykarmabistro.com/ . As it turns out Aaron was able to be there as well.

It was a great meal with truly dear and beloved friends and all because we rode motorcycles and somehow found each other.

The following are a few snapshots. Funny thing is none of us took that many pics. It didn’t really matter as much as just being with each other.

And like that, he's heading home to the woman he loves and she awaits his return.

Ride with joy my friends until the next time we say goodbye.

Hi, Gwen,
I don't know the Cast of Characters in your story, but it doesn't matter. Just like the people who show up for Hungry Mother, Hungry Lobster, Hungry Dungee, etc., they are friends. And if they (or you) would show up in El Paso, I'd do what I could to make them feel welcome and help them, if necessary. Hugs to you!
