Couple of UT frat boys decided visit The Dragon in daddy's car. One decides he'd like to take a spin on an unattended bike. Things kinda balloon from there.

I've been following that on ADV for a little while now. Dumb asses, hopefully they'll get what's coming to them.
He sure picked the wrong crowd to mess with, internet savvy adventure riders, locals to Deal's Gap none the less. I think they'll soon be regretting that bone headed maneuver. _________________ Steve

Back in the early 80's I had my Laverda 750 stolen for a joy ride. They were easy to steal, cut the wires to the ignition switch, bare the ends and twist them all together and you were off. But as it was night they didn't notice the leaking front master cylinder (there was a bottle of fluid in the seat storage) and they ran out of brakes going over Mt Cootha some time later. The dumbarse broke his leg, got arrested in hospital and they found out he was the one responsible for several hundred car and bike thefts over a few years in the area. No real damage to the bike as it went bush.
The police said thank you but gave me a dressing down for having faulty brakes as well
BTW I fixed the ease of theft by adding an extra red wire to the switch that was grounded. Try it again and the fuses would all blow. _________________ K1100RS '97

This has gone somewhat viral. I'm guessing they might be dying their hair and changing schools soon. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Headed off into the bush(land) alongside the road (and didn't hit anything solid)
There'd be a reasonable amount of bush in the MT Cootha area _________________ David, owner of:

Yep, Rob wins the prize, It just crashed in to the scrub down a bit of a slope. The idiot rider hit a tree hahahaha.
So I'm wondering in this litigious age could he have sued me for damages caused by an unroadworthy bike? _________________ K1100RS '97

Reminds me of the "Claw" a few years back. Similar story but with a car. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
