I'd guess that you are looking for something like Staintune http://www.staintune.com.au/dealers_usa.htm or Remus http://www.remus-usa.com/

This is VERY light !!!

This is the prototype RAM system made for them by Keihan [ UK ].

It's being trialled as we speak on a K1100RS - it's Brother has now done 5000 miles on my k100RS.

My LT is pining for its sister!! Very Happy
I'd be happy to do some Beta testing for the LTs, assuming of course the price is reasonable like the RAM shock.

Regards,
Bill

The original K100 system is away being finished and polished - the prototype in the pic is the rough pre-production version - no polishing of welds etc.

As soon a it comes back I'll shoot current pix and get the weights, etc.

The whole deal including downpipes is WAY lighter than the K100 silencer on it's own ! Laughing

Here in the UK Duck we have to be below 88 bds to be legal.

The beauty of this system over say Remus, is that you can replace the silencer with any of your choice as it uses a stock 2" [ 50mm ] inlet.

YES the price will be competetive - you guys should know my modus operandi by now !! And I will ensure the normal 10% discount from Adrian - he has no choice! Wink

The K1100 system has to have the new down pipes, although you could use a K100 set. There'll be a 3 week break while I'm away at my place in Saxony - back into it when I return.

That's a bit of a fizzer; one thought they were pretty good across the range. So, strike them off the list Very Happy

And they actually enforce it? Wow, that's like polite or something. Living here in the states where pirates rule the highways, I'm jealous. Laughing

Hi Duck,

no it's not as strict as that - the Police are pretty tolerant.

However, IF a bike is obviously OTT, they can issue a ticket to have the bike tested. That usually results in having to change the silencer AND a fine [ £60 'ish ].

As for the annual Government MOT road worthiness check - yes they have the equipment to check, but again they are quite lenient - within reason.

I have a Gold Star "silencer" for one of my bikes and it is a tad over - so when I go for the MOT - a replacement will be fitted !

The powers that be also have a real thing about rear number plates [ tags?] They have to be a certain laid down size, position and material [ reflective ].

Even the spacing of the digits is laid down ! And as for the US practice of standing them upright !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW - Although I developed the RAM Power Leads with Realm - I also have a set of Magnecor leads on one of my K100's.

Apart from the RAM set being a little cheaper [ in the UK ] and neater installation - there's NO difference I can detect in use. That's being honest for you !!

In some states here in Oz, you must have a sticker on your exhaust that apparently declares it complies with some standard or other Smile This is not a requirement in the state in which I live, however (yet).

As is well demonstrated by many of the American tractor bikes around here.

And I wouldn't be surprised if there were such a cottage industry here as well.

Laughing Used to do the same on my RX-7. I ran it with the cat replaced by a straight pipe. Every two years I'd put the cat back on for a day for emissions testing.
