Might be tabu but WTH
Johnny had made mention of a Superior North Shore excursion while back in WI so I offered my place as an o'nite and possible ride along. We corresponded and set late Sat afternoon (7/10) as arrival due his obligations and my "work" date Sat morning. He headed out friday (w/o Micki) instead from Juneau, Wi (NE of Madison) at 2pm. Told him to call when in the area and we'd meet at a restraunt in Birchwood.
He called from Osseo (which he couldn't pronounce) gas stop 100 mi out at 6:30p after a slight 2 lane detour. Planned to go to town to meet him by 8:30 at normal 4 lane speed. He called after arrival at 8, so made pretty good time.
No fish fry since the fish wasn't fresh--(in Wi???) so went for the Italian instead.
Had a good visit on the porch 'til 11:30 as I was nodding off. Unfortunately I couldn't make him wait 8 hrs for me to get off "work" and leave by 1p so he rolled out for the unknown at 5:30a Sat morning. Would been a good day for a ride. Today may get wet later. He's heading to the U.P. after Grand Marais (which he also couldn't pronounce).
For those who may sleep in proximity to me at some point: if you can sleep near Johnny's snoring you can sleep near mine, maybe!!
Just an FYI
Mike

Mike, he's a good man but he can't pronounce anything. His degree is from Cancun.
