I thought Jim could not reserve the lodge until the new year?
If that is wrong. Please put me on that list for 2012 and I'll send the funds.
I like the grill your own steak idea. We could have Texas Toast on the grill, with garlic. Less smoke alarm action outside too.
All in all I was very happy with the food. We had plenty and plenty is good when it comes to food. I can make some baked goods next year. Don't cost much and it's easy to make brownies & such from a box mix with a little Xtra chocolate added of course. _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

I believe I can reserve at 11 months out - I'll check and let you know.
Unless I hit the lottery, I'm not going to carry any one this time. When I have cash in hand, I'll make the reservation. People who can't commit can either make their own res, or take a chance on getting a cabin later. I think we should definitely go for the lodge again.
I'm more than happy to reserve a cabin for anyone who is willing to pay at the time the res is made. You have to get your reservation in early to get the cabin you want. Just sayin'... _________________ Jim

Hi, All,
I like the idea of the steaks. If anyone wants, I'm certainly willing to do spaghetti again. Let me know. And Jim, count me in for the lodge. Let me know how much to write the check for, and when you need it. _________________ Ride Safe,

Hi, All,
I arrived home today, after riding 4247 miles. It was GREAT, seeing all of you again. I plan to do it again next year. _________________ Ride Safe,

Phil,
Good to hear that you had a good trip and are home safe. Great to see you again.
Hey, thanks again for the hinges. Let me know if you need anything- so I can return the favor.
Is Chip back home yet?

I heard from him yesterday:
Gwen,
Just a quick note until I get back in on Monday.
Check out my new white bike: I just got back from a 4432 mile trip to Virginia. Last Wednesday I was caught in Heber and could not make it down the rim until Thursday morning. Temp was 35 deg on Thursday morning but the bike started right up right after I cleared snow off it.
Chip
P.S. Wow, it is real strange to type real words again after over two weeks of texting short-hand. Go figure . . .
P.S.S. Had a GREAT time at Hungry Mother, it was very enjoyable meeting more of the K1100 group. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

Hi, John,
Yes, Chip got home a few days ago. He rode through the VLA (Very Large Array) radiotelescope west of Socorro, NM and continued west along the Mogollon Rim. His last day he was confronted with strong headwinds and cold weather. He spent the night up on the rim before heading down toward Phoenix. In the morning, the temperature was 35F and he had to brush snow off his bike! _________________ Ride Safe,

Dammit, I wanna go next year. You make the date up early enough and I will save a personal day so I can come. If it was a few weeks later I wouldn't need to worry about it. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

John - we can't go later - that's after Memorial Day - at that point, cabins rent by the week. _________________ Jim
